Simply ir-resistable

Good morning everyone!

I hope you all enjoyed Zuzana’s geometrical patterns challenge as much as I did. The blog and your entries certainly looked in good shape!

It’s Svenja here with a new challenge for you. It is…..

simply ir-resistable

make a card using some kind of resist technique.

Resist Technique has fascinated me ever since I first came across it. I think it’s just this magical moment when an image appears from a white background – like in the photography-lab back in school.
And there’s so many different ways to achieve the effect: you could use resist-ink like VersaMark, you could do an emboss-resist technique (ironing the embossed bits off or leaving the on, just as you like) or even use some wax to keep the colour off your paper (even a candle might do there).

So, will you join me in the magic? The members of the Design Team already have and just look at all the beautiful creations they came up with!

Getting Geometric

Thank you to everyone who played along with last week Miri's
 'Party Animal' challenge.
You shared really gorgeous cards with us!
Today its Zuzana here. As I was browsing magazines about living, homes and interior design lately I got an excellent idea. What about using one of the trending designs in our cardmaking!
So, my this week challenge is all about
'Getting Geometric'
Create a card with geometric pattern on. You can choose your pattern as a background or focal point. It's entire up to you.

Now, here are some inspirational images :

and here are cards from our talented Design Team.

Party Animal

Thanks to all crafters who joined our inspirational picture dare last week.
It was good to see some colour during these grey February days.

It’s Miri here this week and Carnival season has just finished … but we hope that you will find many more reasons to celebrate, dress up, behave a bit crazy and have fun with your loved ones this year.

So show us a real

PARTY ANIMAL!

Put an animal on your card … even better when it’s celebrating and/or in a good mood.

To cheer up and get some ideas, have a look at the design teams’ creations.
Happy crafting and have fun ;-).

Be A Guest Designer!

Would you like to spend a month designing with us?
The Daring Cardmakers are always looking for talented cardmakers to join us as Guest Designers, so would you be interested in coming to play with
us for a while?

As you know, we feature a wide range of styles and techniques and as we have no affiliations our challenges are always fresh and varied!

You probably already know the sort of thing we do, but why not scroll down through our challenges (there are TEN years worth on here!) to get a better feel for our dares and our style - and how you would help make our blog look even better and fulfil our "Create - Inspire - Share" mantra

We would love to showcase more designers here on our blog and on
our Facebook page so we are currently drawing up a list of those who are interested in joining us for a few weeks
